Stainless Steel Chicago Screws

$100

Size

Chicago screws (also called binding screws or screw posts) are two-part fasteners: a threaded post slips through your material and a slotted cap screws into it from the other side. Unlike rivets they undo again, so belts, straps and hardware can be swapped or repaired without cutting stitching. These are AISI 304 stainless steel - rust-resistant and well suited to horse gear, dog collars and anything else that lives outdoors or gets wet.

Choosing the right length: material thickness is the key factor. As a rule the post length (B in the measurement diagram) should be around 2mm shorter than the combined thickness of the layers you're fastening. See the product images for the full measurement diagram.
